New Stuff

This piece is a cover for an annual report for the fuel company BhpBilliton.

While this design is very simple, i think it has a strong effect. Less is more. At first I thought it was a little too simple, but I quite like it, especially since its corporate, but still is a bit different.

This design is quite symmetrical apart from the text 'it's our'. I did this on purpose otherwise the design would look too structured and weird.

I chose to keep the background plain white to make the illusion that the hard hat is being reflected, also to make the design clean and simple. I used the same dark green as they have used in their logo. I could have used the orange, but a darker colour is easier to read. The font I chose for the 'annual review' text is a serif font to give it a corporate look. I then chose a sans serif font to break it up a bit.

Overall I think this design does its job and there isn't anything I would change.
