This is my absolute favourite image. As you can see, it is a cover for a magazine called Venus. It's VERY feminine which was just the look i was going for as it is a women's magazine hence the name (men are from mars, women are from...venus).
I chose to use white text as I didn't want the design to look cluttered, i wanted it to look fresh. The fonts I have used correspond with the fonts for those articles inside the mag.
I've used a modern serif font for the 'Venus' text and paired it with a scriptic one for the 'magazine' text. I think these fonts balance each other and work well together to give it a sleek feminine look, but also for it to look professional.
As for the image itself I dulled the background a bit and upped the contrast on the model. I added a gentle leaf brush to add interest as well.
As for the composition, I didn't want the text to be all over the place which is which I aligned it all to the right neatly. The model is slightly off center and she is placed within the rule of thirds.
